Emily Kallfelz Selected for USA Junior Quad; Quad Will Race in the Worlds

Sometimes it is difficult to get results information. Reliable sources tell us that Emily Kallfelz has made the National Junior Team and will be racing in Hamburg, Germany, from August 6-10. We also have news that Chase Buchholz was selected to attend the Under 23 Team and has made the first cut.

In addition, Peter Schmidt a former NBC member made the National LIghtweight Quad. This comes as part of a USRowing press release: "Earning a berth to the senior team in the lightweight men’s quadruple sculls was the Riverside Boat Club crew of Andrew Neils (Manhattan, Kansas), Peter Schmidt (Providence, R.I.), Jacob Georgeson (North Olmsted, Ohio) and Kyle Lafferty (Hockessin, Del.). The Riverside crew defeated the entry from the Malta Boat Club in a time of 6:08.68." Peter learned to row at the NBC while he was a student at Classical High School. He went on to row at Drexel University and has spent his summers training in Philadelphia.
