Brown Men win a Fiercesome Squeaker over Yale

Providence: Since this race marked the return of Steve Gladstone to the Seekonk, it promised to provide a series of exciting finishes. In the Varsity and First Freshman races, there was no disappointment. Brown put all of its power and finesse into staying ahead of the Eli crews to win two close races. The Varsity Time was Brown 5:45.5, Yale 5:46, almost a photo finish. For the First Frosh the result was almost equally close: Brown 6:12.8, Yale 6:13.8. Yale was the winner in the other three races: the 2V, 3V and 4V/2F Combo. Ably manning the officiating duties was our President, Dan Gorriaran, who served as Starter and Chase Boat Official, plus Tony Palms, we did the technical work at the finish line and served as Judge at the Finish. The Bears' next home race is versus Northeastern on April 16. Check www.BrownBears.com for more information.
