Welcome to the Narragansett Boat Club

Thank you for visiting our site. Check out the News Section for up-to-date information related to the Narragansett Boat Club and many other rowing related events on the Seekonk River.

Thanks to a great turnout from the girls at LaSalle Academy, the Youth Novice Barge had its largest turnout ever. Now we have only three seats left for zephyrs to close out the 2017 rowing year. This is Youth Fall Plus (3:30 only) and Adult Session 6 (7:15). Register for classes now. If you have questions, call 401.272.1838 or send an email to .

Now, if you are a newcomer, read the brief introduction below. Delve deeper into rowing and into our organization.

We offer the tranquility and solitude of rowing a single scull early in the morning. We also make it possible for you to enter the world of sweep-oared rowing which offers camaraderie and intense competition. And when it comes to competition, the Narragansett Boat Club has some of the most competitive scullers and crews in the nation.

In addition, the Narragansett Boat Club has a tradition of offering rowing and sculling classes to the public. We believe that beginners require good instruction, sound equipment and plenty of opportunities to learn how to row. Developing the correct technique extends beyond a weekend or a short vacation. For men, women, boys, and girls who are eager to develop their rowing skills, our learn-to-row program spans the entire year.
